Emergency Placement Bundle
Bundles of Hope started out with a toothbrush, stuffed animal and pajamas for children their first night in foster care. After the organization got started, we wanted a way for children to carry all of their belongings. We decided that backpacks could hold the supplies for their first night and would make perfect luggage. If the child needed to move to a different home he/she could take their belongings with them in their new backpack. As we began receiving donations of supplies, we were able to add to what was in the bundles. The bundles now have a pair of pajamas, a toy, full bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash, a Bible, journal, pens/pencils/crayons, blanket, stuffed animals. The possibilities for what could now be put in the bundles and be given out to kids is endless!!! So as you can see, donors play a huge part in our organization! We could not continue to help the kids in the foster care system without the support of donors!
Investigator Car Bundles
As we began helping caseworkers with backpacks, we began seeing a need for a distraction in the investigators cars. We decided to make new bundles consisting of a box filled with snacks and toys. The purpose of these bundles is to distract the child from where they had been, as well as where they are going. Whether they are just going to a new foster home or leaving a bad situation, these kids need to know they are being thought of and prayed for. Despite their past or their future, we pray that these bundles show them they should always have HOPE!
Age-Out Bundle
We had always hoped to give items to teens aging-out of the foster care system, but sadly for a long time we lacked the funds. Thankfully the Lord always provides in BIG ways! We decided to pursue the idea of the Age-Out Bundle. We knew that we wanted to help make the transition from a teen in foster care to an adult living on their own, as smooth as possible. We decided to put these items into the new bundles...
